Biographie

Vedat est un doctorant FNRS qui travaille sur les théories marxistes de l'État. Il est affilié au Centre de théorie politique (CTP) et à l'Institut d'études européennes (IEE).
Son projet est supervisé par le professeur Martin Deleixhe et porte sur les débats relatifs au déficit démocratique au sein de l'Union européenne à travers les théories de l'État. Bénéficiaire de la bourse Jean Monnet, il a obtenu en 2021 un master en économie politique internationale à l'université du Kent, ainsi qu'un Master de spécialisation interdisciplinaire en études européennes à l'Université Libre de Bruxelles en 2023. Auparavant, il était assistant de recherche au Democratic Progress Institute.

Biography

Vedat is an FNRS doctoral researcher working on Marxist theories of the state. He is affiliated with the Centre for Political Theory (CTP) and the Institute for European Studies (IEE). His project is supervised by Professor Martin Deleixhe, focusing on democratic deficit debates within the European Union through state theories. He is a recipient of the Jean Monnet Scholarship and graduated in 2021 with a Master's degree in International Political Economy from the University of Kent, and with an Advanced Master's degree in EU Interdisciplinary Studies from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2023. Previously, he was a research assistant at the Democratic Progress Institute.
